Description
This workshop is a great introduction to fused glass, where you learn how to cut glass safely and create your own fused glass art in a relaxed environment.
An experienced tutor will introduce you to transparent, opalescent and iridescent glass, and take you through the different effects within these glass types, from sheet glass to rods and stringers.
This workshop includes all materials, tools, equipment (and refreshments!) and you will be given the choice to design and assemble a hanging light catcher, or a coaster or a tea light holder (small additional charge for tea light holder). Your work of art will then be fired and available for collection approximately 7 days after the course.
The workshops lasts approx. 90 mins, and are suitable for 6 years and over. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults are welcome to book themselves a space and take part.
Please note that anyone attending a workshop must wear closed toed shoes and safety glasses will be required to be worn.
This workshop takes place in our studio in Sandridge, St Albans, Herts.
We are unable to offer refunds or transfers on any or our workshops if they are cancelled by the attendee within 7 days of the date of the workshop. If Heartwood Glass has to cancel a workshop, then a transfer will be offered.
If you have already purchased or received a workshop voucher and want to attend this course, please email us at studio@heartwoodglass.com to reserve you place.
